Tippity Top spreads across three levels, and every one of them opens onto the view. Here's the lay of the land so you can find your favorite spot fast.
Basement level
The lowest floor almost didn't happen — the mountain had other ideas, and we hit enormous boulders while building. We managed to claim about half the footprint as finished living space and left the rest as a crawl space for storage. It's now the cabin's playroom and den.
Inside75" Roku TV · comfy sofa · pool table · dart board · Bluetooth music with surround sound & subwoofer · half bath
OutsideHot tub · barrel sauna · extra seating · and yes — views even from down here
This level is game central — most of our puzzles, board games, books, and hiking supplies live down here, plus an Xbox 360 with tons of games. It's a few years old, we know — we wanted something fun without the worry of a pricey console wandering off.
The complimentary EV charger is just outside in the parking area — see EV charger.
Main level
The heart of the cabin, and where everyone tends to gather. Walls of glass frame the Smokies, and the deck just might be the best seat in the house.
InsideFull kitchen · indoor gas fireplace with a 55" Roku TV · primary bedroom with en-suite (soaking tub, tiled shower, heated floors) · a second half bath · laundry room
OutsideOutdoor fireplace & seating · outdoor 55" Roku TV · dining table · TWO porch swings · rocking chairs · BBQ grill · and the views
Some of our baby & toddler gear lives on this level — see Babies & toddlers. The kitchen is fully stocked; the rundown is on the Kitchen page.
Upstairs
Two bedrooms, each with its own private deck and — you guessed it — more views. Each has its own 50" Roku TV.
King bedroom — one of the upstairs decks has its own outdoor fireplace with a 55" Roku TV.
Bunk bedroom — a queen on the bottom and a full on top. It's a proper adult-sized bunk, not just for the kids.
Dedicated workspace with a printer and wired ethernet — handy for remote work, and for printing your Smoky Mountain parking pass.
Comfortable seating on every deck, on every level — wherever you land, the view found you first.
