Before You Arrive
What to bring

We've tried hard to make Tippity Top feel like a home away from home, so your packing list doesn't need to be long. Here's a helpful starting point — the things worth tossing in the car.

What to bring

  • Personal toiletries — toothbrush, toothpaste, razors, deodorant, and any specialty products you prefer. (Good news: we provide shampoo and conditioner — see below.)
  • Clothing for all kinds of mountain weather. Layers are your best friend up here — even midsummer evenings on the ridge can be surprisingly cool.
  • Groceries and drinks for your stay. We recommend stocking up in Sevierville or Pigeon Forge on the way up — check our Groceries & Pharmacy section for our favorite stops.
  • A good book (or three) for a rainy afternoon on the porch swing.
  • Phone chargers and cables — we do provide these, but they have a mysterious habit of disappearing with previous guests...
Charger note: We stock iPhone and Android charging cables in every bedroom, but they're the one amenity that consistently goes home with guests. Pack your own as a backup — you'll thank yourself.

What we provide

This is by no means an exhaustive list — we've tried to cover the essentials so you don't have to haul everything up the mountain. Here's what you'll find waiting for you:

  • Shampoo and conditioner in every shower
  • Body wash / bar soap
  • Toilet paper
  • Hand soap in every bathroom
  • Hair dryers
  • Bed linens and bedspreads
  • Bath towels, hand towels, and hot tub towels
  • Dishwasher tablets
  • Oven gloves and basic cooking supplies
  • Dishes, glasses, and cookware

A few things you might not expect

We've tried to think outside the box — the little things you realize you need once you're already here:

  • Phone charging cables for all iPhone and Android devices — in every bedroom and the kitchen
  • HDMI cables plugged in on the back of both main TVs
  • USB wall chargers in all bedrooms and the kitchen
  • Chip clips — because someone always needs a chip clip
If you arrive and wish something was here, please tell us! We genuinely want to know. It might already be in a drawer — or it might make the list for the next guests.
