Where to find..

We know that the best part of a vacation is actually vacationing, not spending your first hour hunting for a spare trash bag or the hairdryer. We’ve tried to think of all those little “extras” and essentials you might need so you can spend less time searching and more time staring at that 270-degree view. If there’s something you need that isn’t on this list, just reach out—we’ve likely tucked it away somewhere handy!

Household Essentials

  • Broom & Dustpan: Located in the laundry area next to the washing machine for quick mountain-grit cleanups.
  • Iron & Ironing Board: Tucked away right next to the washing machine.
  • Laundry Detergent: You’ll find this near the washer/dryer (usually in a small tray or container).
  • Plunger: Discretely located under the sink in the each bathroom.
  • Trash Bags: Extras are kept beneath the kitchen sink or in the kitchen pantry. Sometimes the cleaner leaves them in the trash can itself.

Kitchen & Dining

  • Dishwasher Detergent: Located beneath the kitchen sink in a small container.
  • Paper Towels: One roll in the holder, with a “back-up” roll beneath the kitchen sink.
  • Napkins: Ready for dinner on the dining table or at the bar.
  • Flashlights: We keep a couple of these in the kitchen “junk drawer” just in case of a mountain storm!

Bath & Linens

  • Hairdryers: Look beneath the bathroom sinks or in the cabinets immediately adjacent to the bathroom.
  • Shampoo, Conditioner & Body Wash: We’ve placed these right on the bathroom sinks for your arrival.
  • Toilet Paper: Fully stocked in each bathroom, with extras in the nearby cabinets.
  • Sleeper Sofa/Futon Bedding: Usually kept on the shelf in the master bedroom closet.

Safety First

  • Fire Extinguishers: There is a small unit on the kitchen counter (or under the sink) and a larger “heavy-duty” one near the family room entryway.
  • First Aid Kit: Located under the kitchen sink for any minor trail scrapes or bumps.

Just for Fun

  • Guestbook: Coming Soon! We can’t wait to read about your favorite moments at the cabin.
  • Batteries: We try to keep a few spares (AA/AAA) in the kitchen drawer in case a remote or game controller gives up the ghost.
