Barbeque Grill

Mastering the grill is a Smoky Mountain tradition, and we’ve made sure you’re fully equipped for a legendary BBQ. We have a large propane grill ready for your best burgers and steaks. The best part? It’s tied directly to the house propane line, so you’ll never have to deal with the heartbreak of a tank running dry right as the steaks go on.

One important note: to comply with local fire safety regulations, the grill is equipped with a NO WORRIEZ Safety Auto Shut-Off Timer. It’s a bit of a “safety first” gadget that ensures the gas doesn’t stay on indefinitely, but it can be a little picky if you don’t know its secrets. Here is how to get the fire started:

How to Use the Grill & Timer

  1. Prep the Timer: Before turning on the grill, you must “wake up” the NO WORRIEZ Gas Timer. Turn the dial clockwise all the way to the 60-minute mark, then dial it back to your desired cooking time. (This “full turn and back” method primes the mechanical spring so it doesn’t shut off prematurely).
  2. Open the Lid: Always open the grill lid before lighting. We want to sear the steaks, not the eyebrows!
  3. Ignite: Turn your main burner knob to the “High/Ignite” position and press the ignition button. Once the first burner is lit, you can fire up the others.
  4. Keep it Put: You’ll notice the grill is permanently secured to the deck. Please don’t try to move it; it’s bolted down for safety (and to keep it from wandering off to enjoy the views).

BBQ Tools & Cleanup

We’ve provided a full set of BBQ tools (tongs, spatulas, and brushes), which you’ll find either in the kitchen drawer or hanging right next to the grill.

When your feast is finished, we would truly appreciate it if you could give the grates a quick scrub with the grill brush while they are still warm. If you’re feeling particularly heroic, emptying the grease tray once it has cooled down is a huge help and keeps the local bears from getting too interested in the deck!
