Let's get you inside. The locks took us a minute to get used to the first time, so we've written this out in detail — once you've done it once, it's second nature.

All three doors use a Yale Assure keypad lock — it was the only digital lock compatible with the Andersen doors we chose for the cabin. We're still getting used to them ourselves, but honestly, they're growing on us.
You're welcome to enter through any of the three — use whichever is closest to where you park:

Settling in for the night? You can simply turn the deadbolt by hand. But here's the slightly non-intuitive part: for the most secure lock on these patio doors, lift up on the door handle first, then turn the deadbolt. Lifting the handle engages the door at multiple points.

Heading out for the day? Pull the door firmly closed, then place your palm flat over the keypad (or simply touch it). The lock will activate and you'll hear the bolt drive home. Give it a moment and confirm it's locked before you walk away.

This is very rare, but if a keypad seems dead, the simplest fix is to try one of the other two doors — it's extremely unlikely all three would have an issue at once. If you're ever truly locked out, call or text us right away and we'll get you in. We keep a backup power source on hand for the locks, and we'll walk you through it.
