Heated Bathroom Floors

Nothing says “vacation luxury” like stepping onto a warm bathroom floor when it’s freezing outside! We’ve installed the Schluter DITRA-HEAT system in the bathrooms because we know there is nothing quite like the shock of a cold tile floor to ruin a cozy morning. We actually have these in our own home and it’s funny—you don’t really think about them while you’re standing on them, until you accidentally step on a piece of tile to the side of the toilet that isn’t heated. Trust us, your toes will immediately send a “thank you” note to your brain for the heated sections!

The smart thermostats are located right on the wall in each bathroom and are very intuitive to use. They are usually pre-programmed to keep things toasty, but if you want to dial in your perfect temperature, just use the touchscreen to tap the “up” or “down” arrows. It’s like a tiny tablet for your toes! Just keep in mind that unlike a light bulb, the heat takes a little bit of time to radiate through the tile, so if you turn it up, give it a few minutes to work its magic.
